Hey Bob, I just want to say that you are probably one of the sharpest guys on this Forum, not knocking anyone else. It's just when it comes to Forced Induction and F-Bodies, you know your stuff. Anyway I just got the 3.00" pulley on and it is working great . I'm seeing a little more than a pound of boost increase. I't feels like I gained about another 30HP or so. Only one problem, I'm detecting some detonation right before redline ( popcorn ) . So I filled it up with VP Racing fuel 103 octane. No more detonation. But that's not the answer ( very expensive fix ). I wish you were local. Could use a good old fashion chassis dyno tune. You wouldn't be able to recommend a shop down my way, could you? Well, anyway - thanks, Ron

Chevy Colorado with LS7 427 and ProCharger F-1A
This update from: 07/28/2009

MBRP Inc Performance Exhaust is building a new Chevy Colorado as a show truck for GM. They sent us a new LS7 crate engine last year for us to rebuild to handle the power this truck will be generating. This truck will be arriving at our shop around June 1st for us to install the fuel system, completely wire the truck and get it up and running and tuned. We will have exactly one month to get everything we need to do done, as this truck has to get shipped to Canada to get painted.

Here is a list of sponsors who have helped out by supplying parts for this build. We will be updating this list as more info comes in.
* Forgeline Motorsports - ZX3R Wheels
* Nitto tires
* Aeromotive- Fuel system and rails
* AFCO/Dynatech - Shocks, brakes, radiator, fans, shroud, catch can &  headers
* Moser Engineering - Axles
* Sparco - Seat belts, steering wheel
* Cobra Seats - Seats
* Auto Meter - Gauges
* Optima Batteries - Batteries
* ATI ProCharger - F-1A ProCharger and intercooler
* GM - Truck, LS7 engine, accessory drive, T56 transmission

Here is the new Colorado truck that was delivered to start this project. This truck looks awesome bone stock, but just wait until it gets done!

The original engine and transmission were one of the first things that were removed. Working with new parts certainly makes everything much easier.

The pick up bed was removed as much chassis work needed to be done.

The interior was also removed as many modifications will be done inside the cab as well.

The LS7 crate engine was sent to us at EPP in April on '08 and we rebuilt it to handle the ProCharger F-1A. Compstar connectings rods, Diamond pistons, Total Seal rings, ARP main studs and head studs, Comp custom ground camshaft and Comp 921 valvesprings were used. We sent the LS7 heads to West Coast Cylinder Heads and had o rings grooves added, along with titanium intake valves.

The 427 LS7 engine looks right at home in there!

The new T56 transmission is installed and just needs a new driveshaft.

It is planned for this truck to see many different types of events, so installing a rollcage is mandatory.

The rear of the roll cage is getting tied into the new frame rails, which were brought inboard to accomodate wider rear wheels and tires.

Now those are some wide tires!

The bed now just needs some sheetmetal work done to it.

The Cobra seats are going to look great in there when the interior is finished!

It looks like Cristmas arrived early!

A lot has been done (and redone) on this truck. MBRP had a shop handle some of the fabrication work, and MBRP redid a good portion of it which is why we have not received the truck yet.

One noticeable change that MBRP did was to change the location of where the roll cage tubes entered the cab.

Wow, now that is impressive!

The cage looks much better, now on to whats underneath the body.

This trucks stopping power is simply going to be incredible!

MBRP welded up a pair of stainless steel headers for this truck.

The AFCO shocks will handle anything this truck will ask of them.

It's almost time to be installing the ProCharger intercooler!
We're anxious to get started on it!
